where should i put this on my website last page?
Thought for a couple of seconds
Put it on its own page, usually titled:
Privacy Policy
Then add a link to that page in the footer of your website so it appears on every page. That is better than making it the “last page” in the main navigation.
Best setup:
Page title: Privacy Policy
URL slug: /privacy-policy
Navigation: Hide it from the main menu if you want, but link it in the footer
Footer link text: Privacy Policy
For the dedicated phone number application, you will likely need to paste the direct URL to that page, something like:
https://yourwebsite.com/privacy-policy
On Squarespace, create a new page, paste the privacy policy text there, then add “Privacy Policy” as a footer link.
the information needs to be on thr website where anyone can find iy
Thought for a second
Yes — make it easy to find, not hidden.
Best option:
Create a page called Privacy Policy
Put the privacy statement on that page
Add a Privacy Policy link in the footer of your website
Make sure the page is published and not password-protected
Use a simple URL like:
yourwebsite.com/privacy-policy
That way anyone can find it from any page of your site, and you can give Jobber the direct link.
You do not need to put the full policy on your homepage. A footer link is the normal and acceptable way, as long as it is visible and public.
what's a vfooter link
A footer link is a link at the very bottom of your website.
The footer is the section that usually appears at the bottom of every page and may include things like:
Business name
Contact info
Social media links
Copyright notice
Privacy Policy link
So your website might look like this at the bottom:
Lisa’s Pruning and Horticulture LLC
425-213-7581
LISA@PRUNINGANDHORTICULTURE.COM
Privacy Policy
The words Privacy Policy would be clickable and would take people to your privacy policy page.
On Squarespace, you would usually edit the footer, add text that says Privacy Policy, then link that text to your Privacy Policy page.
